Well, more like 10 days, but that wasn't a very catchy title!
Stuart has been chainsawing like a madman. Quite a bit of the wood pile has been sawed up. He's taking a couple days off the saw as his hands are rebelling. Last night, he couldn't work the pepper mill!
A view from the other side, with the always present husky thrown in!
And Founder is up and around. He is healing well. Well enough to take a couple pics. He doesn't look like he's been through a massacre anymore! His wounds are healing well and so far no sign of infection.

Good Golly!
"Stuart has been chainsawing like a madman."
He could get a job at the local Beaver Colony!
Too bad that pile won't "split" itself and fall into a neat pile.
Just how long will that semi-load last you guys?
Founder looks a little "ruff" around the edges, but looks like he's managing to do A-OK. Hope he's decided to "retire" from the fight arena.

Wow, that's a LOT of wood! That would make for some great chewing!
Glad Founder is doing so much better. Fights are no fun, especially for the one who gets chewed on.
Holly
Holly--it has been chewed on a bit and peed on, climbed on. It's a regular doggy playground. They will be choked when it all gets stacked!
Phred: Hopefully, the wood should last until next March. Assuming that the cold doesn't come insanely early like it did this year!
*drooling at all that wood*
That is a beautiful sight, all that wood. Good for a year, wow! How come you get it at this time of year? Unlike the rest of us who totally wait until the last minute and we've run OUT of wood! I swear, NEXT YEAR I will be prepared!! :)
My dogs pee on my wood too! It drives me nuts!!!!!
Glad to hear Founder is getting well.
Stacie,
We ran out of wood way early this year! So we had to buy some. We used more than usual! Stuart is going to be working out of town all summer/most of the fall. He usually gets our wood, but won't be able to this year. So instead of buying a cord or two for now, we bought a big supply!
Great plan! I too, ran out, ordered only one cord, and it's already gone. Wow! Thank goodness for these sunny days. Plus I'm just SICK of making fires! Enough already.
btw - I love coming back just to look at that HUGE pile of wood. I should put it on as my screensaver!! :)
See! I can't get enough! LOL
Where did you get that wood from? It looks clean. And very burnable. And not black and charred like most of the stuff I get.
You're obsessed!
The wood came from Haines Junction. Can't remember the company name. Was a First Nations word. No idea where Stuart put the receipt! Sean would probably know the name! It's very dry, nice wood. Couple green pieces, but mostly perfect! I think it's from that beetle killed area out there.
