Earle has been modelling the latest in husky fashion for the last couple weeks. I'm not telling him that the shirt is vet ordered!
Earle has a history of obsessive licking, giving himself sores, usually on his front legs. Recently he decided to chew on his hips and sides. He has some nasty hotspots now.
The t-shirt keeps him from doing any further damage. It was supposed to be a temporary thing, just long enough to let the sores heal and break his licking habit.
Unfortunately, as soon as I take the shirt off him, the licking starts again!
Fortunately, Earle likes his new wardrobe! In his shirt, he is his happy, sweet, relaxed self. Maybe he'll start new trend among sled dogs!

He might just start a new trend!! Looking good! And that first photo looks like some kind of fake stuffed dog or something...lol!
He knows he looks darned handsome in the shirts...

Oh Earle, you are such a trendsetter! Very handsome, and it's nice to see him smiling again.
Maybe you will need to find some permanent dog t-shirts! We think that a black one with pirates on it would be cool ... Booker is a "chewer" too ... his vet prescribed Comfortis to keep the fleas off (they were biting him, but not living on him) and it is like magic -- no more chewing. We had to get him a steroid shot too to calm everything down.
Maybe he can start a cool tshirt collection!! I am glad it helps.
We're use to that here. Mom cuts a big V in the back so she can tie the shirt tighter around Samuel's tummy, so it doesn't drag (or get pee'd on).
Also, have you tried cephalexin for him? It's an antibiotic for staph infections, which might be part of the problem. That's what we have to do here.
